Juliette Ling

B.A.Sc., M.A.Sc., P.Eng

Juliette Ling holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree (B.A.Sc) in Engineering Science (Nuclear and Thermal Power Option) and a Master of Applied Science Degree (M.A.Sc) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario and is currently a member of the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE) and the Canadian Nuclear Society (CNS).

Upon graduation, she worked at Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd (AECL), on the MDS Nordion Medical Isotopes Reactor (MMIR) Project at Sheridan Park. There, she provided support to the Licensing Group and interacted with the staff of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC). She was responsible for tracking the status of commitments made to the CNSC, drafting regulatory correspondence and maintaining the licensing register. She also provided support to the Safety Analysis Group by performing computer simulations using the CATHENA computer code.

Following her time at AECL, Juliette joined Candesco Corporation as a safety analyst. She has since been involved in licensing and safety analysis for various projects, including the Bruce A Restart Safety Analysis Project, Low Void Reactivity Fuel (LVRF) safety analysis, licensing of the Advanced CANDU Reactor (ACR) and licensing and safety analysis for the MMIR Project.
