Licensing Analyst Position
Duties:
Perform licensing activities for Canadian and international nuclear organizations and facilities, including but not limited to nuclear power generating and research facilities, nuclear waste projects, and government agencies.
A successful candidate must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently, and be able to function in a technical integration role among a variety of groups. The successful candidate needs to have competent technical and organizational skills to understand, track and facilitate the resolution of a variety of licensing issues. Specifically, this includes planning and implementing licensing strategies, liaising with clients and regulatory agencies; preparing licensing documentation and ensuring appropriate quality assurance standards are maintained throughout all activities.
Qualifications
Must have a science or engineering degree, with five years or more of relevant experience. Candidates with less experience may be considered.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with clients, team members, regulatory agencies, and/or the public. Strong written skills are also required for the preparation of licensing and/or technical documents.
Must be familiar with the Canadian nuclear regulatory environment, including the CNSC guidelines and standards.
Must be able to work in a project driven environment with the capability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and within project constraints (time, cost, quality).
Must be able to plan, organize and prioritize assigned work, and to coordinate multiple activities efficiently.
Must have a strong attention to detail and to quality assurance requirements.
Must be motivated by working with engineering professionals committed to producing timely and high quality technical work.
Other
Professional designations (PEO, PMP) are an asset.
An understanding of CANDU technology is an asset.
Language skills other than English are an asset.
Advanced information research capabilities are an asset.
