- Ginni Cheema has been named Secretary of the Golden Horseshoe West Chapter of Women in Nuclear (WiN).
- The Bruce Power REMP project resulted in the successful streamlining of BP’s Radiological Environmental Monitoring Program. This culminated with Rina Parker delivering a course to BP employees to guide them through the new system.
- Fernando Iglesias and Chris Selman have joined the Candesco Team.
- Justin Spencer has rejoined the Candesco Team after a sabbatical playing professional hockey in the UHL for the Bloomington Prairie Thunder.
- Mike Grey was appointed to the N288 (Radiological Protection of the Environment) and N292 (Radioactive Waste Management) Technical Committees of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). He is also a member of the N292.3 (Management of Low and Intermediate-Level Radioactive Waste) Technical Sub-committee and served on the N292.2 (Dry Storage of Used Nuclear Fuel) Technical Sub-committee.
- Mike Grey recently gave a lecture on 'Non-Ionizing Radiation (Microwave & RF Radiation)' to the students in the second year Radiological & Health Physics course at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT).
- Candesco recently completed a Preliminary Decommissioning Plan for Ontario Power Generation OPG
- Candesco was pleased to sponsor and participate in the Canadian Nuclear Society's booth at the 2006 Science Teacher's Association of Ontario STAO conference.
