Exposure Conditions Calculations/Assessment and ALARA

Members of the Candesco team have held positions in operational health physics at the Pickering NGS, Point Lepreau NGS, MDS Nordion Inc., Zircatec Precision Industries and at the Missouri University Research Reactor. This experience includes the review, approval and investigation of dosimetry results, approval of exposure permits, the review and approval of radiation work plans, , ALARA review offacilities, operations and maintenance activities, and assessment of radiation protection performance of operating facilities.

Candesco staff have supported performance of optimization of radiation protection analyses for Cernavoda NPP Unit 1, including review of the ALARA quantitative decision-aiding techniques applicable to the environmental impact assessments and evaluation of the monetary value of the collective effective dose equivalent . As well, they have managed the development and implementation of radiation protection programs during project design & construction and performed radiation protection assessments of nuclear power plants in Canada, the United States & abroad.
