Ontario Power Generation (OPG) Market Readiness Project

Candesco provided extensive services to OPG in assessing, designing, developing, testing, commissioning, documenting, and supporting business processes and information technology tools for interfacing with the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), for the Front, Middle, and Back Office.

Candesco led the team responsible for building the Back Office suite of applications. This included collecting, verifying, and reconciling revenue meter readings; deriving delivery point and transmission point revenue data; generating the physical and financial preliminary and final Commercial Reconciliation Settlement Statements and Files and comparing them with the Statements and Files provided by the IESO; creating the generation system service reimbursement requests; verifying the market power mitigation amounts; managing the meter trouble reports and the notices of disagreement; and forecasting and verifying invoices.
